Our Current Projects
MAP has been operating since 1998 and in that time the rural areas of Marr have changed dramatically but what hasn't changed is our commitment to recognising what individual communities have to offer and what they need at any given time.
Consequently our focus adapts to meet demand and while we maintain a broad overview covering communications, wellbeing, economy, transport and the environment, since 2020 our efforts have naturally been drawn towards issues around addressing food poverty and access, project sustainability and resilience.
Below are just some of the projects we are working on at present.

Reaching those in our communities most in need with regular deliveries of donated firewood using a network of hubs and volunteers
A place to find advice, ideas and friendship from the people who manage community buildings
A series of in-person events for home and lone workers to meet socially and share challenges
